Developing Natural Resources Responsibly

At Liontown, we understand the importance of developing natural resources responsibly.

We recognise that the materials we produce are a critical input to global decarbonisation efforts and that it is our responsibility to produce them with the lowest possible carbon footprint and manage the environmental impact at every stage.

We are committed to implementing sustainable practices throughout our operations, from extraction through to processing to distribution. We prioritise the use of energy-efficient technologies and renewable energy sources to reduce our carbon footprint, and we implement measures to minimise waste and emissions throughout our operations.

As part of our commitment to responsible resource development, we also work with local communities to ensure that our operations are sustainable and beneficial to all stakeholders. We prioritise engagement and consultation with the Traditional Owners, and we strive to incorporate their traditional knowledge and practices into our operations.

Responsible resource development is critical to achieving our ESG goals and creating a more sustainable future.

By developing natural resources responsibly, we can contribute to global decarbonisation efforts while minimising the environmental impact of our operations.

At Liontown, we are committed to producing critical materials with the lowest possible carbon footprint and managing the environmental impact at every stage. We believe that by doing so, we can create a more sustainable future for everyone.

To achieve our ESG goals, our commitments to developing natural resources responsibly are:

  • To achieve net zero by 2034 (current ambition prior to undertaking climate scenario modelling)
  • Establish clear commitments to environmental governance
  • Focus on mitigating energy and emissions, water, waste, effluent & hazardous materials, land disturbance & biodiversity impacts
  • Minimal Footprint – Use of underground mining to minimise land disturbance, waste ore generation and environmental impacts
  • Active Monitoring – Active environmental survey and monitoring to support performance monitoring and transparency
  • Achieve compliance
