The pace of progress and ramp up at the Kathleen Valley Lithium Project this year has been significant.

With just under 200 people on site working to deliver a successful operation, Liontown Resources is on schedule to deliver first concentrate by mid-2024.

Dragonfly Accommodation Village

The second wing of the dragonfly, comprising over 100 rooms, has now been completed and commissioned. With this, Kathleen Valley now has a total of 264 available rooms. The team are now focusing on completing the permanent facilities, including the dining room.

Open Pit Mining

Since January, Iron Mine Contracting have been mobilising people and equipment, clearing the pit and the Tailings Storage Facility location. They’ve started drill and blast activity and have been free digging material from Kathleen’s Corner Pit.

Over the past six months we’ve reviewed Liontown’s mine plan and identified the opportunity to optimise the production rate from 2.5Mtpa to 3Mtpa, and to generate potential early cash flow by generating DSO product sales.
